5 pitfalls in data center battery installation
The first pitfall: The thickness of the battery connection wire. The thickness of the battery connection wire is not calculated according to the UPS power, but is configured randomly. The wire diameter is very thin, which poses a safety hazard and is easy to burn the wire and cause a fire.
The second pitfall: the battery protective cover. Not configuring the battery protective cover when installing the battery is neither safe nor beautiful, and there are safety hazards, which can easily cause the battery to short-circuit.
The third pitfall: the positive and negative wires of the battery are not clearly marked. When installing the positive, negative, and neutral wires of the battery, it is easy to remember the wrong connection when connecting the battery and burn the machine. It is easy to connect the wrong wires when maintaining and replacing the battery, and burn the machine.
The fourth pitfall: mixed use of batteries. Mixing batteries of different brands and models can cause fires. Because the battery structure is different and the internal resistance value is different, the charging current and discharge current are different, and overheating causes fires.
The fifth pitfall: batteries in series and parallel. When there are many batteries connected in series or in parallel, you must first understand the battery voltage of the machine, and then determine how to connect them in series or in parallel. Otherwise, the machine will burn out or the machine will not work properly if the wires are connected incorrectly. Especially when the battery has a neutral wire, do not connect the wires incorrectly.
